Trip Recap

Fifteen ASCO members gathered in Bend on September 28th and headed west on the nicely paved Santiam Highway to Fish Lake to celebrate the cultural heritage of the Santiam Wagon Road and step back in time at the historic Fish Lake Remount Depot. The day started with getting posters and materials organized at the ASCO booth.

At the Opening Ceremony the Forest Service and Friends of Fish Lake unveiled the new Santiam Wagon Road information sign.

The afternoon was spent enjoying the sunshine and visiting the other booths, learning about pack trains, vintage automobiles and getting a ride in a historic wagon.
